For those of you who've been sleeping for the past few years and have no clue who Imogen Heap is...
She was born on 9 December 1977 in the London Borough of Havering is a Grammy Award-winning British singer and songwriter from Romford, Havering. She is known for her work as part of the musical duo Frou Frou and her solo albums, which she writes, produces, and mixes.
In 2006, Heap was nominated for two Grammy Awards. She has produced three solo albums, the latest of which is 2009's Ellipse, which was an immediate North American chart success and earned Heap two Grammy nominations, winning Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
Her musical style seems to be of an experimental nature, comprising of an amalgamation of; electronica, pop, rock, indie and ambient themes (no doubt there are many other styles packed in her work), resulting in a very mellow/relaxed sound for the most part. Heap’s vocals have a very rhythmic, dream-like quality and tone, combined with powerful and deep lyrics which make for a rewarding audio experience.
To date, Imogen heap has released three solo albums.
